SOULAD – an exhibition by the first-year students of the MA Curatorial Studies at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem – invites you to explore the ever-shifting relationship between nature and culture.
The exhibition unfolds across the indoor ArtLab space and the surrounding Garden of the Lidice Gallery as a meditation on adaptation. This process lies at the heart of our evolving coexistence with the natural world. Through carefully selected works the students examine how nature and culture mirror, clash, and shape one another in their search for balance. This delicate tension prompts us to ask whether harmony exists between the two and what role we play in shaping that possibility.
SOULAD results from an educational partnership between the Faculty of Art and Design at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem and the Curatorial Department of the Lidice Art Collection - Lidice Memorial.
