New Digital Transition
The Lidice Art Collection has launched its digital archive, transitioning from a physical repository to a globally accessible online platform. Following extensive scanning, cataloguing, and documentation, the collection is now available for public research. This initiative, developed in collaboration with Metafori, presents the first 200 artworks in a dedicated digital space.
The current release marks the start of the project's beta phase. The institution aims to digitise and publish the entire collection by the end of 2026. This digital gateway ensures that the collection—founded on principles of international solidarity—is available to researchers and the public in Prague, London, New York, and beyond.
The digitisation of the Lidice Memorial is funded by the European Union, the National Recovery Fund, and the Czech Republic's Ministry of Culture. Technical delivery is managed in partnership with DG Line. The development of the new website is co-funded by the Ministry of Culture and realised through collaboration with Metafori.
